Module Certificate Print Registry entry

Specifies whether a user / group is permitted to print directly from one or more Registration modules.

Usually certificate printing in Vitalware is processed through POS, which associates each certificate with an order. There are occasions when a copy of certificate information may be required for business processing. Such copies are usually referred to as white copies (a certificate printed on white paper). Generating an order for such a purpose can be time consuming, and this entry is used to specify that printing of certain documents, e.g. white copies, can occur directly from the registration modules themselves (rather than having to generate an order).

The Module Certificate Print Registry entry specifies that a user / group is permitted to print from one or more registration modules. When set to true, the Allowed Module Certificates Registry entry specifies which certificates can be printed directly from the registration module(s).

  • When a Module Certificate Print Registry entry is set to true for a user (permitting the user to print certificates from the Births module for example)

    -AND-

  • An Allowed Module Certificates Registry entry is NOT specified for that user (identifying which certificates the user can print from the Births module in this example)

    -AND-

  • An Allowed Certificates Registry entry specifies which certificates from which registration module the user can print from POS (e.g. birth certificates)

the user will be able to print any certificates specified by the Allowed Certificates Registry entry from the module specified by the Module Certificate Print Registry entry. In this example, the user will be able to print birth certificates from the Births module.

is true (the user / group can print a certificate directly from the registration module(s)) or false (the user / group cannot print a certificate directly from the registration module(s)).

Note: If this entry is not present, a setting of false is assumed.
